MISSION
        
The mission for our students is to cultivate awareness, appreciation, and accessibility of visual art within the community for its cultural enrichment.  We provide an opportunity for all members of the community to experience visual arts.  We achieve our mission through education, exhibitions, and an outreach program.  To prepare students for careers as professional artists, and in all other areas of visual art.  Students are encouraged to develop their own creative direction within the context of contemporary culture, theory, and history.  They are expected to develop new skills and encouraged to build on existing ones.  Successful students will demonstrate proficiency, self-confidence and professionalism within their discipline.The Sugar Land School of Fine Art is a leader in educating creative people which includes children, teens and adult students who aspire to make a meaningful contribution to our world.  So that they may achieve their fullest potential as artist and leaders in our community.
    
GOALS
The primary goals of the Sugar Land School of Fine Art is to provide an excellent education and to focus the study of visual arts to all students by ensuring access to a superior education through inspired leadership among parents and teacher. Allowing all students to achieve their full potential.  To cultivate  awareness, appreciation, and accessibility of visual art within the community, for its cultural enrichment.  Children and Teens need an outlet for creativity and self-expression, as well as an opportunity to extend their academic learning.  Our visual arts program is focused on teaching the appreciation of art and culture, the critical assessment of art, and the connections between the various disciplines.   They are encouraged to have fun while reaching for excellence.  Adults and Senior Citizens are encouraged to have fun, explore and increase their skill level.    

To achieve these goals Sugar Land School of Fine Art have identified these goals.

o  To identify and attract talented young artists.

o  To provide an educational environment that fosters the artistic, intellectual, and personal growth of its students and prepares them to embark on successful careers and productive lives as artists and citizens, as well as to become leaders in their professions.

o  To continue to elevate its educational and artistic standards, remaining responsive to changing conditions in the worldwide visual arts community.

o  To provide the best faculty.

o  To uphold its commitment to the diversity of its community by fostering an environment that is inclusive, supportive, and welcoming to all. 

o  To take an active role in shaping the future of the visual arts by providing exemplary arts education programs to the community and encouraging its students to serve as advocates for the arts in society.

o  To try to guide and direct students in the right direction through encouragement and staying positive.

o  To encourage public speaking.

To learn marketing skills used to promote art.

o  To learn moral values.

o  To teach students to create quality art work (gallery presentable).

o  To teach students how to exhibit their art work.

o  To teach students how to create from within using self expression.

o  To teach students to learn art appreciation.

To teach students to learn how to have fun while creating.
